The ancient art of aromatherapy is linked to the perfume industry and the natural health industry. Essential oils can be extracted from three basic ways: pressings cold distillation, steam and solvent extraction.

Steam distillation is the traditional method and widely used for oil extraction.Of the distillation process begins by using boilers to heat purified water and produce vapeur.Cette steam is then passed into a room containing plant material stainless steel. As the plant is heated, it releases aromatherapy oils in the air with steam and is transported upwards in a piping system called the condenser.

The steam is cooled with cold water and condenses in a mixture of water and essential oils. Then, this mixture is transferred to a device for separation in which oil floats to the top of water and is collected.

Cold pressed, or expressed, oils are created mechanically based fruits.Seulement skin oils organic fruits should be used in the process of extracting oil, because pesticides used on non-organic fruit will be concentrated in that they are not technically essential oils huiles.Bien, cast oils are still regarded as highly therapeutic and are generally less expensive than steam and solvent distilled oils.

Containing a volatile oil not easily extracted to steam distillation and small flowers are handled by the distillation plant with a solvent oil. After this distillation concrete remains, which is a mixture of essential oils, wax, resin and equipment végétal.Ce concrete is distilled and then again to extract pure essential oil grain alcohol.
